Baby Diaper Quality Control Checklist for Importers
A quality-control checklist helps importers structure their supplier evaluation before a bulk order. It should reflect the buyer’s destination market, commercial requirements, product brief, packaging needs, documentation process, and applicable obligations.
This checklist does not replace qualified laboratory testing, third-party inspection, legal advice, or regulatory review.
1. Confirm the Product Brief
Record the confirmed product information relevant to your project. Do not assume materials, performance, certifications, dimensions, pack counts, or claims without direct confirmation.
2. Review Approved Samples
Use representative samples for internal commercial, market, regulatory, and quality evaluation. Document the approved sample and your review criteria.
3. Check Packaging and Labelling
Review packaging artwork, label information, language content, carton marks, approval status, and destination-market requirements.
4. Clarify Inspection Scope
Where inspection is appropriate, define the scope, sample selection, acceptance criteria, timing, reporting format, and qualified inspection provider.
5. Review Supplier Documentation
Confirm which commercial, shipping, product, and other documents are relevant to your transaction and destination market.
6. Align Order and Shipment Details
Check consistency between the confirmed order, quotation, packing list, invoice, carton plan, loading plan, and shipment arrangements.
7. Verify Responsibilities
Clarify the responsibilities of the buyer, supplier, inspection provider, customs representative, and logistics partner.
8. Record Approval Before Shipment
Before shipment, document the approved requirements, sample status, inspection or test results where applicable, packaging approval, documents, and release decision.
